Department of Music

Students of the Department of Music study Western classical music, from Renaissance, Baroque, to 21st century periods, excluding Korean traditional music and popular music. With the expansion of professional education in the fields of voice, piano, composition, and orchestra parts, the Department of Music provides annual concerts along with the concerts for each major. The Department has 50 individual sound- proof practice rooms, a library, a music listening room, and lockers for instruments.

There are a wide range of careers available to graduates including further studies at local or national graduate schools, teaching students at middle schools, high schools, or colleges, professorships at national universities and private colleges, instructor positions at a private school, professional performer positions, professional music department jobs at the broadcasting companies, or professional composer positions.
