Department of Geography

As a discipline that is rich in tradition, geography is the study of the natural environment as human's living space and the multiple constructs, social-spatial orders and structures, and changing process. In addition, it focuses on alternative plans of diversity spatial problems as they appear in reality. Therefore, geographers study land and regional development, land use relationships, and surveying.

The Department of Geography is divided more specifically by the need of a rapidly changing modern space. The Department plays an important role in producing experts in the field.

Recently, as the area of interest in geography has expanded to Geography of Information and Services (GIS) and environment problems, the need for geography experts is increasing. Graduates can obtain careers in travel agencies or as analysts of regional research. The market has transformed and there is a strong possibility to become cartographers or GIS professionals.
