Department of Aqualife Medicine studies basic medical sciences, diagnosing, treating and preventing of fish disease, fish medicines, and hygienics. On the basis of fundamental studies, the major aims to cultivate qualified experts in the field of aqualife medicine and public sanitation, and fish doctors to contribute to fisheries production by effectively managing fish and shellfish disease.
The Department of Aqualife Medicine has been established since 1998 for the purpose of research and education on disease diagnosis and control of aquatic organisms to produce safe and high quality food for human being.
The department has good educational environments and facilities providing financial support to excellent students. Students have many opportunities to conduct lab experiments, train in fields, practice interviews, train overseas, and master scientific techniques. Students are encouraged to promote their professional qualifications by pursuing graduate studies.
